Description

British gatefold+insert of the film musical soundtracks to ‘Top Hat' and 'Shall We Dance’ (1935, 1937), starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Top Hat: Music by Irving Berlin. Musical director – Max Steiner. Shall We Dance: Music by George Gershwin. Musical director – Nathaniel Shilkret.
Produced from original soundtracks by Chris Ellis. Transferred and mastered by John Wadley.
Includes a four-sided square insert with movie captions.

Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers ‎– Top Hat / Shall We Dance (Original Soundtracks) (1935, 1937)
Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): VINYL: NM. Looks superbly clean on visual inspection. No sign of any scuffs, marks or hairlines across either side. This hasn't been played much – if at all. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great throughout. These are archival recordings so quality is limited to original source. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A decent listening experience.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: NM. Colours are unfaded front and back. Corners, edges, spine and aperture in great shape with no obvious defects. Just one light nick to bottom right corner. Tiny creases in from spine. Reverse outer gate and inner gate are clean and unmarked. Very nice.
INNER SLEEVE: EX. Original white sleeve with curved corners. No stains or rips. Mild buckling and crinkling but clean and intact. A decent example.
BOOKLET: NM. Superb gatefold. No rips, stains, creases or nicks. Colours are bright and unfaded.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
