Here we have ~ rated an excellent psych/prog rarity from Quebec Canada by the mysterious Champignons, which translates aptly to: THE MUSHROOMS. 
The 1972 release of their highly innovative album opens with the 11:30-mins centerpiece,   The "Haunted Castle" that is no doubt worth the price you need to pay to grab this gem.  The Haunted Castle is a strangely unique listen; a creepy tune that is loaded with spooky sound effects and whispered vocals that create a certain graveyard aura; especially those nearly cookie-monster-like spoken vocals. The sinister feel is convincing, and the searing guitar and spellbinding beat delivers an otherworldly feel.......
Other highlights include "Folies Du Mercredi" being their wildest and most adventurous track, changing constantly climates and rhythms with excellent organ solo two-thirds in that adds much drama, as does the sizzling fuzz guitar. Great stuff!

For many years now the very rare "Premiere Capsule" Lp has been a sought highly priced (costly) collectible, rated very highly by late '60s/ early '70s fans. Champignons, were obviously an adventurous experimental band from the Quebec Canada underground scene.
,,The "Mushrooms" as they were known, and their only 1972 Lp "Premiere Capsule" is overall resplendent with the trippy day-glo mushroom sleeve,and highlighted within the grooves by a succession of seven guitar driven original compositions that manage to maintain any incredibly high standards from start to finish. 
All the tracks are superb, but several in particular stand out including the above mentioned 11-minute experimental jam, "The Haunted Castle" and two instrumental numbers, "Folies Du Mercredi" and "Pop-Pino." Decidedly features extremely good fuzz guitar throughout, as well as some exceptional interplay by the talented musicians. The LP will appeal to both fans of psychedelic & progressive as well as those into the old underground rock sound...
