Arturo Toscanini Society ATS 1016-1024. Beethoven Bicentennial, 1770/1970. Symphonies #1, 3-5, 8 & 9 / Missa Solemnis / Triple Concerto / Piano Concerto #3 / Coriolan Overture / Leonore #2 Overture / String Quartet #9 Fugue / String Quartet #13 Cavatina / 2 Movements from The Creatures of Prometheus / Choral Fantasy. Myra Hess, piano (Concerto #3), Mishel Piastro, Josef Schuster & Ania Dorfman (Triple Concerto), Vocal soloists: Rosa Tentoni, Rose Bampton, Charles Kullman, Ezio Pinza (Symphony #9), Zinka Milanov, Bruna Castagna, Jussi Bjoerling, Alexander Kipnis (Missa), NBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Arturo Toscanini. Mono, 1972. Recording dates range from 1933-1954, mostly 1933-40. 9 LPs, with a 46-page book of notes. Also included in the box are 8 Toscanini Society newsletters ranging from October 1971 to December 1972, plus a magazine clipping and some promotional materials. Rare set. Vinyl mostly VG++, needs cleaning. The side containing Symphony #4 is closer to VG, with a scratch (doesn't look too deep) and some scuffing. If you buy more than 1 item, you will get the most accurate shipping quote by contacting me for an invoice. In the U.S. I offer USPS Media Mail. Priority Mail and Express Mail rates are available upon request; just contact me and ask for a revised invoice. Internationally I offer USPS First Class Airmail, Priority, Priority Flat Rate Box, and Express. Please note that First Class Airmail CANNOT BE TRACKED online. If you want international tracking, you must request either Priority or Express Mail shipping.

PRIORITY MAIL FLAT RATE BOX:
Overseas packages that weigh more than 4 pounds cannot be shipped by First Class Airmail. The best shipping rate for heavier packages (usually anything more than 5 LPs) is the Priority Flat Rate Box, which costs $50 (plus $1 insurance per $100 value) and can hold up to 18 single LPs. The disadvantage is that the Flat Rate Box is not quite perfectly sized for LPs, and doesn't protect the records as well as my standard LP shipping boxes. This is usually not a problem, but buyers should be aware of it. I am happy to wait until you have bought enough LPs to fill a Flat Rate Box.
Condition Notes:
Records are generally graded on visual inspection.
Mint: A brand new, SEALED record, never played.
NM: Near Mint. An unsealed record that looks as good as new.
VG++: Excellent. Light cosmetic flaws that should not affect the sound.
VG+: May have cosmetic flaws, mild surface noise or short patches of ticking, but should sound fine overall.
VG: May have moderate noise throughout or one or two bad patches from scratches. Still fine for general listening.
Good: Noisy, but plays through. I will only sell very rare or unusual items in this condition.
