Description
I'm listing a great group of Caribbean jazz, calypso, world ethnic Folkways and Lyrichord LPs, and some jazz LPs over the next 48 hours. Traditional Music of Papua and New Guinea, the Gizra and Bine People. Lyrichord LLST 7370. Orig. US 197? pressing. Cover is EX, LP is VG+ due to a light scratch that ticks off and on during two short tracks on the side one, otherwise plays EX. Ethnographic recordings of music for bamboo jew's harp, flutes, slit-drums, whistles, and chants. Intense and immediate recordings of songs and music addressing magic, death, sex, and all the rest. Amazing.
