On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Traffic called "John Barleycorn Must Die" and is an INCREDIBLY rare UK 1970 1st pressing on the 1st Press 'Pink 'i' Island label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  HOWEVER THIS LP IS VERY SPECIAL INDEED FOR 2 VERY IMPORTANT REASONS!!!!  FIRSTLY THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER - WITH 'DOUBLE THICKNESS' VINYL, 'TEXTURED' LABELS, AND 'THICK' CARDBOARD COVER!!!!  THIS LP WAS ONLY EVER PRESSED LIKE THIS FOR AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF TIME - BEFORE THE LABELS WERE CHANGED TO 'SMOOTH' LABELS AND MUCH THINNER VINYL!!!!  AND SECONDLY AND MUST IMPORTANTLY THIS 1ST PRESS 'THICK CARDBOARD' COVER HAS ABSOLUTELY NO YELLOWING AT ALL - AND RETAINS EXACTLY THE SAME COLOUR IT WAS MADE WITH BACK IN 1970!!!!  AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE ON THIS LP!!!!  TRY AND FIND ANOTHER!!!!  YOU MAY WONDER EXACTLY HOW THIS COVER HAS REMAINED IN THIS AMAZING CONDITION!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN!!!!  THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF THIS LP (WHO OWNED IT FROM NEW) MOVED HOUSE IN 1971 (ONLY 1 YEAR AFTER HE BOUGHT THE LP!) AND PUT HIS LPS IN A SEALED CASE FOR TRANSIT.  HE HAD OVER 300 LPS AND ALL WERE PUT INTO SEPARATE CASES - WITH AROUND 20 IN EACH CASE.  AFTER MOVING ALL THE CASES WERE STORED IN HIS ATTIC UNTIL HE HAD A NEW STEREO SYSTEM INSTALLED.  EVENTUALLY ALL THE CASES APART FROM 2 WERE MOVED DOWN INTO HIS HOUSE WITH HIS NEW SYSTEM!!!!  HOWEVER 2 OF THESE CASES WERE MISTAKENLY LEFT IN THE ATTIC AND NEVER SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY AGAIN - UNTIL LAST WEEK WHEN I ACCQURED THEM!!!!  AS A RESULT THE COVER ON THIS LP HAS SUFFERED NO YELLOWING AT ALL AND RETAINS THE EXACT COLOUR IT WAS MADE WITH BACK IN 1970!!!!  AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP AND IS THE FIRST 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING I HAVE EVER SEEN LIKE THIS!!!!  DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE HUGE RARITY OF THIS LP IN THIS CONDITION!!!!  IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP WITH NO YELLOWING ON THE COVER AT ALL!!!!  AND IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME (IF EVER) BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER!!!!  THIS THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'PINK i' ISLAND LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, 1ST PRESS A//1 B//1 MATRIX ENDINGS, AND 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' GATEFOLD 'THICK CARDBOARD' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS AN 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! The Cat. No is ILPS 9116 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' Pink 'i' Island label (see picture) and is a UK 1970 Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 1 MEGA light hairline trace (only visible under EXTREME light), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  There is also some low level background sound on Side 2 (virtually NONE on Side 1) - though this is only audible on the run on grooves & gaps, and only in the VERY quietest parts of the track 'John Barleycorn' (NONE in the other 2 tracks on that side) though it is always VERY low level and VERY easy to overlook!!!!  Not only that but the sound quality is simply AWESOME with NO groovewear either and NO distortion!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Gatefold 'Thick Cardboard' Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!!  It has barely ANY edge wear AT ALL, barely ANY spinal wear AT ALL, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), NO rubbing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear AT ALL, barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed), NO writing, and amazingly NO YELLOWING AT ALL!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO yellowing, and NO grubbyness!!!!  The cover must VERY strictly grade Excellent(Minus) if not better - though in reality the fact that this cover has NO YELLOWING AT ALL - means that it really should grade much MUCH higher and has to be considered a UNIQUE opportunity!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
