Description
Here we have a pretty much pristine copy of John Barleycorn Must Die by Traffic on the pink Island label from back in 1970. The cover is perfect; no bends or discolouration and the spine is clearly legible. I've had this for many years and only played it the one time; it's not my bag. The previous owner was meticulous with his vinyl, he would play them once or twice then lock them away to keep them perfect. Don't know if he ever taped them. The vinyl is shiny and clean, sounding pretty much as it would have done from new. A2 and B2 are the dead wax matrices that follow the number ILPS 9116 suggesting an early (probably first) pressing. Curiously enough, there are also UAS numbers which suggest a release on the United Artists label, could someone enlighten me? Come and have a look, you'll more than likely not find another copy as good as this.
