Goat Farm Records, 1972. Listed in Hans Pokora's 2001 Record Collector Dreams. This is a very strange and awesome LP of experimental psych folk rock (with some prog moves as well) from rural Kalona, Iowa. Recorded live at 'The Pub' March 11, 1972 and at The Harper Hall Goat Farm concert. Players: Chris Singer-Roach- percussion, vocals; Gary 'Big G' Buck- guitars; John Leak- guitar; Tom Wilcox- trumpet; Lynn Willard- organ; Dan 'Moongoat' Roach- bass, vocals; Will Parsons- percussion, vocals, special effects. Members went on to be involved w/ Iowa Ear Music. Strange snapshot of a very particular point in time, place and culture. Tracks are: Dedley Meadley, Directly From My Heart, Down the Rabbit Hole, Blue Cheese Gospel, Mind-Spirit-Body Train, Moonlight Couples Only. Did I mention the "meadley" includes Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Dr. John, Traffic, and more? Cover is VG, nice and glossy but with very light sticker residue, corner bumps and some creasing. Vinyl is VG+, no heavy marks but several light scuffs on both sides... a great copy of a rare piece of psych culture!
I'm movin far away this summer and need to lighten the load, so I'm listing all sorts of interesting music for a low price... in other words...
