For sale here is a VERY VERY rare LP. THE DEBUT (especially in this condition) by TREES  called " GARDEN OF JANE DELAWNEY " and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK STEREO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press ORANGE CBS label.THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. THIS IS WITHOUT DOUBT TREES RAREST LP EVER, AND HARDLY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN STUNNING CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1970 STEREO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS ORANGE CBS LABEL. 1st PRESS  MATRIXES, FIRST PRESS CBS PICTURE INNER SLEEVE (in excellent condition!!) AND 1st PRESS FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE ...THIS LP IS MEGA MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL ORANGE CBS UK STEREO 1st pressing from 1970 and is in STUNNING condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. is S  63837 on the 1st press ORANGE CBS label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK STEREO 1st Pressing..

Labels are the sensational blood orange matt textured CBS format in as near as mint condition!!!. With the CBS logo over the central holes on both sides of the labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has only a few very minor spindle lines to indicate that the record has possibly only been played 3 or 4 times. With NO damage of any kind. NO graffiti , NO rips NO tears or stickers and would therefore grade as near as mint condition!!!!

Vinyl

Thickly pressed heavy weight vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic. Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees , There are NO surface marks,NO scratches NO blemishes at all, and NO tiny faint wispy lines are visible whatsoever!!!. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate  in this in this condition! and would therefore grade as near as if not as mint!!! The vinyl has a beautiful full sheen which would be impossible to find on a record of nearly 40 years old!!!!....virtually impossible to upgrade on this classic!!!

Sleeve

First issue rare front lamimated sleeve is in very good condition for a record of nearly40 years old!!!..Showing only mild storage wear with some light staining and a miniscule of laminate creasing to the edges.The sleeve has NO rips,NO tears and absolutley NO graffitti whatsoever!!!! with a slight fold mark to the top left hand corner the sleeve is still a pleasure to view and is a Fantastic collectors item. The spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible.This is a fine example of this sensational CBS  classic !!!

The Garden of Jane Delawney is the debut album of British folk rock band Trees. Whilst nearly every song on the album appears to be a traditional folk song, this is actually only the case for about half of them, the others having been penned for the album by front-man Bias Boshell. The title track is a particular good example of his apparent talent for writing songs that sounded like they had existed for hundreds of years as folk songs.

• All About Eve covered "The Garden of Jane Delawney" as a B-Side to their single "What Kind of Fool" in 1988. They also did a similar interpretation of "She Moved Through the Fair".
• Dark Sanctuary, a French goth/neo-classical band, also covered "The Garden of Jane Delawney" on their album Exaudi Modem Meam, released in 2005.
• Ygdrassil, a Dutch folk band, covered "The Garden of Jane Delawney" on their album Easy sunrise (2005).

my records are condition graded visually in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

MINT (M): Unplayed, pristine condition, often still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in almost brand new condition with no apparent surface marks, full original vinyl lustre, and no deterioration in sound quality.The cover and any extra items are in near perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and/or packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record obviously has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and/or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably, perhaps with some distortion and/or scratches. The cover and/or contents may suffer from folding, scuffing, spine-splits, major discolouration, etc.
