Very rare and long, long out of print unofficial previously unreleased 1970 live concert performance LP by the legendary UK acid-folk-psych crew TREES ...they of the electric weaving grooves led by the beautiful voice of female Celia Humphris, who also plays keyboards on this record....This dynamic band released two marvellous studio albums, 1970 "In The Garden Of Jane Delawney" and 1971 "On The Shore" that are both highly sought after and expensive collectible folk-psych gems....

Trees existed between 1969 and 1972. Although the group met with little commercial success in their time, the reputation of the band has grown over the years and today has mushroomed over the universe into a huge cult following. Like other folk contemporaries, Trees music was influenced by Fairport Convention, but with an electrified heavier and more psychedelic edge. The group's material was divided between adaptations of traditional songs and stunning original compositions.

This fabulous live performance, from nearly 40 years ago, and in view of a small gathering, showcases the rich tapestries of sound that make TREES so delightful in their melody woven gems, features unique versions of the much loved tunes ... terrific soundboard quality -- with unreleased material ~ a must, and so hard to find these days as this was such a small private vinyl pressing of 500 copies and only issued in Italy back in 1989.....England's finest female fronted psychedelic folk unit the Trees recorded live in action. Celia Humphris is all over the place on this one, her vocals sounding as good as ever while Barry Clarke and David Costa support her with hypnotic guitar licks. Classic tracks get performed such as “Polly on the Shore”, while the larger part of the repertoire on display here is comprised out of tracks that did not end up on their two studio albums!! So seen against that light, this is a truly great addition in the Trees discography, shedding some light on the band in action (be it with a slightly altered line-up) and different song material that is just as incendiary nevertheless. Stellar stuff. Wish I was there to bare witness to it all. Fantastic performance which captures this legendary band on top form and Celia rules throughout!!

Records Are Graded In The Following Way:

MINT: The record displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT: Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD: Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD: Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing

+ or - : Indicates slightly better (+) or slightly lesser (-) condition than main grade

Packing Procedures: All LPs are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit. When posted the records are removed from the cover, if possible, and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new mailers, either the envelope style with thick stiffeners to prevent any sleeve bends in transit, or the "cruciform" style that wrap around the LP. I aim to dispatch all items within 48 hours of receiving payment. It is recommended that you choose the insurance option for higher value items. As stated above I cannot be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in the post that are not shipped via insured / registered mail. I always obtain a certificate proof of posting receipt for every item sent, which will complete our transaction.
