· DESCRIPTION: BRILLIANT RARE Australian Ethnic folk LP. One of the first LPs documenting the Didjeridu. Original press on the private Wattle label. (I’ve seen Wattle described as “Australia's answer to Folkways except that it was run as a private concern”). Includes an especially rare and sought-after “secret” track which, as highlighted in the liner notes, “is to be played in the hearing of adult male aborigines only if they are natives of Arnhem Land, and never before native women or children, nor to native men not from Arnhem Land”.
All Wattle LPs are very scarce – and this one especially so!

LP GRADING GUIDELINES
NOTE: All LPs are professionally cleaned using the VPI HW-17 RECORD CLEANING SYSTEM and carefully inspected under a grading lamp with 120-watt bulb.
- Guidelines reflect TYPICAL factors determining grade - variations are noted in the description
- Please note: I DO NOT USE EXCELLENT (EX) as a grade.
- Flaws for ALL covers graded below VG+ are noted in the description.
- I rarely use grades below VG, and all vinyl graded VG or less is appropriately spot play-graded to assure sound quality.
- Grades below G are not listed, as I typically do not sell merchandise in such condition.
- Intermediate grades (e.g., NM-, VG/VG+, VG++) are used, as applicable.
- MINT: Factory Sealed; cover virtually flawless
- NM+ (Near Mint Plus) - Factory sealed with minor cover flaws, OR an otherwise mint LP recently opened by me and played in spots for demonstration purposes
- NM (Near Mint) - vinyl, cover and labels nearly flawless
- VG+ (Very Good Plus) - what many refer to as "excellent"; pretty close to NM. Full or nearly full-gloss vinyl with a few minor surface or sleeve marks; possibly one or a couple small, light scuffs or scratches (if basically inaudible) on an otherwise NM piece. Expect only slight surface noise in spots. Cover has slight general wear and/or aging, OR minimal wear/aging and a couple of minor flaws (noted as applicable in the description)
- VG (Very Good) - Vinyl still very shiny, has a few light scuffs, sleeve marks and hairline or small light scratches. Expect only slight surface noise in spots
- VG- (Very Good Minus) - Vinyl typically still shiny or very shiny (may be slight groovewear), has a few light scuffs, surface marks and/or small scratches, plus some sleeve marks and hairline scratches. Expect slight surface noise that's noticeable but NOT overwhelming.
- G (Good) - Vinyl typically still shiny (sometimes very shiny; may be slight groovewear), has some scuffs and some surface marks, generally a few or some light scratches, plus lots of sleeve marks and hairline scratches. Expect some surface noise throughout that's noticeable but NOT overwhelming - NO skips, sticks, heavy scuffs, deep scratches, excessive noise, or loud pops or clicks (unless noted in description)
