Description

Available here is a very rare T.Rex promotional pack, featuring the final album - Dandy In The Underworld. It was issued in the UK by EMI in 1977. It comprises the following items which I have graded individually.

1. Outer matt black envelope-style pack cover - no splits but minor stress lines, light edge wear, with a little rubbing to the outer corners - Very Good

2. Two inner sleeves as per the standard record release, one with circular die-cut centre and "Factory Sample Not For Sale" stickers on the reverse of both - Mint

3. Dandy In The Underworld LP/vinyl record. Bright, clean and free of any marks, it looks unplayed - Mint

I've listened to the first few seconds of both sides of the record and it has a clear sound which is free from any static/crackle etc.

The record also bears the following matrix numbers in accordance with first pressing status -

Side 1: BLN 5005 A-1U - 1 G

Side 2: BLN 5005 B-1U - 1 M

4. Marc Bolan/T.Rex information and tour insert sheet - Mint

5. 2 x 8"x10" glossy black and white EMI publicity photographs of Marc Bolan and T.Rex - Mint

6. T.Rex/Dandy In The Underworld circular sticker - Mint

Another of these items was sold on eBay last year for £200 and appeared incomplete (although not stated as such) as it did not seem to feature the publicity photographs and sticker which are included in this version. Details of that auction can still be found on the Popsike website.
