Hey guys, I am selling a bunch of things in order to pay my bills.  I was just laid off and I absolutely hate to do it but I must start parting with records in order to cover my living expenses, mortgage, and medical bills. 

Up for grabs is one of the rarest records I have related to the Lawrence arms, and the broadways.

Tricky Dick was a band from Chicago and was around from 1994-1998. This record was pressed one time on over the edge records and was recorded in 1994. There are probably only a couple hundred of these things out there, if that. There could be as few as 100 copies.  This 7” was the first recorded material by this band.

This band was a legendary 4-piece that contains Chris McCaughan on vocals and guitar.  As you know he went on to play in the broadways, the Lawrence Arms, and Sundowner.  People have said this band sounds like a cross between Crimpshrine and Jawbreaker. MRR said it best "Tricky Dick is what Jawbreaker could have been".

This record is EXTREMELY rare and has probably been out of print and impossible to find for the last 10-12 years.  It is in very good, near mint condition.  The vinyl is clean and in great condition.  This also comes with a fold out insert with all the lyrics.

I also found this Official history of the band online:   Tricky Dick formed in '93 or '94 from the ashes of Slugbug & Glad Hand. Tricky Dick's era was definitely the days of the 3rd Floor in Elgin and the early days of the Fireside. Other Chicagoland bands from this time consisted of FOO, SIDEKICK KATO, SLAPSTICK, THE 4-SQUARES, THE MUSHUGANAS & too many more to name. They played some shows and recorded some songs. They broke up in '98 and went on to such bands as The BROADWAYS, BISCAYNE, BURN ELGIN, THE LAWRENCE ARMS, THE 4-SQUARES & HOUSEBOY
