Made in Trinidad

Rare instrumental LP recorded by Trinidadian sax player Vital Angel w/ backing by the Johnnie Gomez orchestra, with a very "authentic" approach far from the more common pasteurized Trinidadian hotel bands. Features 4 calypsos & other rhythms but all of them have strong Trinidadian/calypsonian accent and don't sound like what they should be but more like calypso hybrids, specially the two tunes described as beguines, same for the rumba & samba tracks, the 2 merengues sound more faithfull though.
