Here's THE rare one. A pristine, sealed copy of the legendary Triple Forte EP. Recorded in 1983, this much-sought after heavy metal grail is a perfect example of what was brewing in Wisconsin's Fox Valley while nobody was looking. Dark, heavy and obviously influenced by NWOBHM and its predecessors, Triple Forte's sole effort predates Raven Bitch--their well-known thrash/power brothers to the south--by many years since Tear Down the Walls was released in 1987. With songs like "Sinful Ax" and "Black Mirror," Triple Forte is one of the missing links in american metal. The original private press run of this record was somewhere south of 500 copies; however, many were destroyed in the bassist's flooded basement. As a consequence, this rare artifact of midwestern origins almost never sees the light of day. This particular copy is sealed and in beautiful condition. All the corners are sharp and there is no damage to the outer sleeve whatsoever. There is some very light wear to the shrink wrap in a couple places and a scuff/scratch on the front shrink, see photos. The shrink is getting a bit tight, causing a minor rippling of the sleeve (understandable, considering it's been sealed for 36 YEARS!) - this baby should be opened and played. This copy looks fantastic!
