Description
Tripsichord (Music Box): "Tripsichord" 1971, USA/Janus JLS 3016. Disc is in nice EX to M- shape visually, but as with all copies it plays with some surface noise, I think all Janus pressings are like this, it gets a VG+ play grade to my ear. Labels are demo-designated and this is the rarer/earlier of the two versions on Janus with no mention of "San Francisco Sound" on the labels. Cover has light overall wear, seams are wearing out and threatening to split, this cover has no cut-out mark which is very rare, it gets a strong VG grade overall. Monster guitar psych LP recorded during the Winter of 1969/1970 by this unheralded San Francisco band; they were so talented that their manager pressured them to play gigs as "Moby Grape" when the real band was out of town and they usually pulled it off! Super-rare album, one of the rarest major-label LPs from the San Francisco scene for sure, this is a great copy!
