Troggs, Trogglomania.
Original 1969 UK pressed Page One Records mono LP, POS 602.
Earliest pressing with white labels/red print and front laminated visible rear backflaps Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve.
A fairly worn but acceptable issue.
Vinyl is visually around G. Surfaces still have a decent gloss, but beginning to grey a little and a large number of visible marks and light scratches/scuffs. Nothing feelable however. Side one is somewhat more marked than side two.
Playback is better than surfaces suggest, and generally veers between VG minus and VG, with some parts of the LP playing very cleanly and quietly - a "Mixed Bag" to pardon the pun, but not enough background noise to make the LP an unenjoyable listening experience.
Some background crackle and light ticks heard here and there, but no continuous underlying background noise and no loud consecutive ticks or clicks.
Labels have some pen defacement (round circle near centre and "1" and "2" of each side filled in. Else labels are fairly clean.
Emitex syle poly-lined inner is near mint and so presumably a replacement.
Sleeve around G. Main panels free of major stains or marks, although rear panel fairly extensively grubby and darkened. Some penned doodling to front panel in the shape of outlining of band members' teeth, and penned name to top left of rear panel. A number of light impressions and traced outline of writing impression is visible when front panel is rotated at certain angles, although this is negligible in normal usage. General all round tiredness and wear, corner creasing, some small pinch line creases leading in from edge areas which have taken on darkening. Just under one inch closed tear with slight untidiness at centre of front entry side. Edges chipped with some whitening and loss, but no seam splits. Tips somewhat worn. Entry side softened and feathered.
All in all still a fairly listenable shelf filler which is a far more than adequate shelf filler.
