My standard disclaimer about vinyl: As with all vinyl records, there always are likely to be at least some pops, clicks and other surface noise, so do not expect flawlessly pristine CD sound quality. I grade on the following scale: Like New, Very Good (some flaws, nothing major), Good (more noticeable flaws, but still acceptable), Fair (looking pretty bad, but not a total disaster) and Poor (extremely bad with major defects).

This auction is for a promo (as indicated by the text stamped over the UPC code on the back) vinyl copy of the 1982 album TRON The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, with music by Wendy Carlos (formerly known as Walter Carlos), and which also contains the Journey song "Only Solutions." In other words, this is the soundtrack of the Walt Disney original 1982 first movie version of "TRON," not the later remake. CBS Records label, catalog number SM 37782, UPC number 07464377821. What's great is that this copy comes with two original "See the Movie Play the Game" Tron coupons from CBS Records and Tapes that were good for two free game tokens at any Bally Family Entertainment Center (from the bygone days when every mall had a videogame arcade)! The coupons expired on September 30, 1982, and make great collectibles. (NOTE: I'm also selling a copy of the companion LP "The Story of Tron" as a separate auction right now. Win both and save on shipping!)

CONDITION DETAILS:

Overall condition: Very Good.

Jacket: The reason I call the jacket only "Very Good" condition (instead of "Like New") is because there is promo text stamped over the UPC symbol at the top right corner of the back cover, some scuffing/rubbing (especially at top center and bottom center of front and back) and minor "chipping," and some light edge and corner wear. Definitely not a disaster, but be aware that it is not flawlessly perfect.

Record: Like New, looks unplayed and sounds great! The matrix number on Side One: AL-37782-4B, with MASTERDISK and the letters HW. Side Two: BL-37782-2B, with MASTERDISK and HW.

Inner sleeve: White plastic-lined inner sleeve has no splits.

Game coupons: There are two of them, each measuring approximately five inches by three inches. One is perfect except for a small impression near the center. The other has a diagonal crease at the bottom left corner that I've tried to show by taking the photo at an angle so the light catches it. If you jump in a time machine and head back to 1982, you can get two Bally game tokens with each of them and have a good old time at the arcade.
