Original U:K 1st Issue E.J Day front and rear Laminated Gatefold Outer Sleeve, IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular record This one is pretty solid.the one abiding issue is some waving to the back & opening edge as if it has been  damp at some time, there is some laminate creasing & a few small edge creases, The spine is straight and fully legble [ just ] one of the edge creases running over the text, but looks looks ok, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!!  NO writing, NO graffiti, NO seam splits, rips or tears. grades as VG.
Inner Sleeve: VG.
Plain white poly lined inner,has some stains & a few wrinkles but no seam splits or writing, record is housed in another poly lined sleeve

Classic UK Original red Regal Zonophone 1st Press labels. Both sides have Spindle wear but no writing or tears. 
Vinyl: VG+.
Record:Visual. Thick,Heavy Pressed original 1969 UK 1st Press Vinyl. Nice bright, clean and shiny with only one or two light hairlines [all unfeelable]. Vinyl has more in & out lines visible only under strong light.
Record: Play. Play grades an easy VG. With just some light back ground crackle hear & there. No jumps, skips or sticks. A very nice sounding record.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
