(Capitol 787) Original 1971 1st US pressing LP still in shrink
(see photos for track listing)
Visual grading of disc: Side one: VG+ / Side two: VG++
(Has quite a few light hairlines and scuffs. Should play fine)
Condition of sleeve: Still in shrink. Capitol first pressing promo hole at top right corner.
FOR THE RECORD: Both green label and red label releases of this LP are first pressings. They were
both pressed at the same time. Capitol was slowly changing to the red labels but some pressing plants
still had enough green labels in late '71. The Capitol promo hole on this issue (and all others) are only used for 1st pressings
to radio stations. This was sent to my office at my radio station in 1971, 10 days before before street date.
Discogs is a handy site, but in NO way are they the 'final word'. I find errors
in there quite often (I've been in the business since 1965). They're wrong on this one.
There's really no such thing as a 'repress' (?) of an LP that only had one pressing.
I sold my previous 4 copies of this (all NM) in here 15 years ago. This is my last copy - not in perfect shape, but
should play nicely or your money back.

PLEASE READ MY MY GRADING SCALE
(Near Mint and Mint Minus are not the same grade)
Near Mint: Our highest grade for an opened vinyl. Record will be close to perfect in the playing area. May have minor scuffs on edges from decades of storage, or a small hairline mark, scratch or some paper scuffs on play area but no audible distractions.
It's near mint, not mint (which would be 'sealed').
Mint minus: A scuff or two or a very light mark or two on either or both sides that may possibly be heard.
VG++: One step down. A few faint marks or paper scuffs that may be audible. May show some signs of use.
VG+: Scuffs & some minor scratches in the playing area. Some will more than likely be heard.
VG: Many scuffs or scratches that will be heard but record should still play through.
