Description
I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool popcorn, soul, mambo, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, boogaloo, blues, funk, psychedelic, Balearic, modern soul, sunshine pop, mod, weirdo wave, heavy/hard rock, exotica, gospel, and oddball instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. And, in addition to tons of great 45s from greater Texas and Louisiana, I've listed some cool and weird Xmas-related discs this week.
ARTIST: The Royce McAfee Combo
TITLE: Cairo Twist / Night Session
LABEL: Gayla
CONDITION: VG+ (Great copy.)
Sleek mod jazz soul burners from 1963. Outta Dallas, Texas, though the R&B sensibilities, flute, and hip Latin-exotic touches remind me of the concurrent Los Angeles soul jazz of Roscoe Weathers, John Lemons, et al. My favorite release by McAfee.
