Description
"Tal Farlow Quartet" - 10" LP issued on Blue Note 5042 in 1954. Features Don Arnone, Clyde Lombardi, and Joe Morello. Disc is VG++ to Near Mint with crisp, bright sound, no surface noise, and only the slightest of scuffing and occasional light ticking. Jacket is VG++. No split seams, sharp corners, and only a couple of small dents in bottom spine. Back of jacket is clean with little signs of aging. Beautiful copy. The "ear" is engraved in the trail-off. Deep groove, with "Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave NYC" just inside the deep groove. 33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing outside the groove.
Grading is based on Goldmine standards:
M = Mint (unplayed or factory sealed)
NM = Near Mint (one or two tiny, inconsequential flaws)
VG+ = Very Good Plus (handled and played infrequently or carefully; light scuffs, visual scratches that do not affect play)
VG = Very Good (visible signs of handling, light surface scratches, groove wear, spindle trails on label; audible surface noise - a well-played record by a responsible owner)
G = Good (good really means no good. Many scratches and annoying surface noise, heavy groove wear; basically a wall-hanger)
Intermediate grades of the above (VG-, G+, VG++) may also be used.
