Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden - RARE Vinyl LP album from 1988.
Original pressing from 1988 on Parlophone records.
PLEASE NOTE: This record is NOT in perfect condition and will NOT suit fussy collectors.
It is however nearly impossible to find a copy of this album without surface marks becuase the hard card inner sleeve always rubs against the record causing surface marks. There maybe perfect copies out there but I have never seen one without any marks at all, and I always describe my items honestly so you know exactly what you are getting.
Vinyl Condition: G (Record has lots of light surface marks, light scratches, hairlines and general minor scratches on both sides. This is due to the record rubbing against the hard card sleeve. However dispite the large number of marks, the playback is great with nice sound. There is surface noise and clicks and pops and the odd louder click and pop in places but no sticks or jumps. Overall surface marks with some visible lots of visible scratch marks but plays well with no sticks or jumps. Enjoyable to listen to but not suitable for fussy collectors).
Inner sleeve Condition: G (Lots of large yellow foxing/stain marks from age. Otherwise ok).
Outer Sleeve Condition: VG/EX (Minor light stain mark to the front but really is in very nice condition).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
