This is a UK first pressing original copy the Prog Monster Tangerine Dream by British giants of prog Kaleidoscope. Released in 1967 on Fontana records. This is a seriously difficult LP to get your hands on as all the more serious collectors know.
The Sleeve. Double click the pictures because there are a few issues with this sleeve and I want whoever wins this to know exactly what they are getting for their money. The front of the LP has a few creases to the 4 corners  ive tried to capture this in the photos but its not easy. There`s so much going on in the front panel with all that psychedelic colour scheme that it sort of hides what im talking about but the light creases are there. The colours are still strong and bright and very vibrant and I think the sleeve despite these issues still looks very acceptable....  The spine is a little bit squashed, you can read the writing but there are one or two letters damaged (double click the spinal photo). The back of the LP does look completely problem free on first view  but take your time and double click the pictures. Just above the TL5488 top right corner there is a small blemish. Where all the writing is in the shape of a pear look to the song titles in particular Kaleidoscope, Drive into Yesterday Flight from Ashiya, The murder of Lewis Tollani and the Sky children. These have all been underlined in blue Biro by a previous owner. There`s a bit of dulling to the left side of the back sleeve beneath the Pear Leaves .The next problem is in the psychedelic writing that makes up the pear leaves above the pear. Double the pictures and look into all the letterings particularly the words Tangerine Dream Kaleidoscope like the D`s and the A`s R`s and O`s where ever there is a loop a prior owner has again coloured these in with a blue Biro. However this has been quite cleverly "touched in" that is antique dealer talk for restored and I think they have done quite a good job. They have somehow cut out the blue ink leaving behind very little residue. This has either improved or further damaged the item depending on the buyers viewpoint . This makes the sleeve very difficult to grade so I am not going to. I think this is the best way to sort this out. The sleeve is not a part of this auction but I will throw it in for free to whoever wins this record and the record is pretty outstanding.
The inner sleeve is here and its the original and is in Very good + condition.
The Record condition.
Side 1 in a normally lit room this side looks flawless, completely flawless, only in the kitchen where we have 8 seriously bright spotlights when tilted towards the light you can see some very slight spindly spider web hairlines that are on pretty much every record that has ever been in and out of a record sleeve. These marks cause no problems whatsoever. There is almost complete silence in the dead wax between the tracks. Track two on side 1 is a very quiet track and its plays flawlessly. The record label of side 1 is in Excellent order only under a really bright light you can see spindle trails so this record has been played by a vary careful owner. The vinyl has retained an exceptionally high glossy lustre, this record has been played but by someone who really understands records hence the lovely condition.  The record plays all the way through side one from start to finish with no problems as all. No skips no sticking no jumps no background noise that interferes with the listeners enjoyment. Side 1 is a strong EXCELLENT.
Side 2 is pretty much the same as side one nothing to be seen at all in a normally lit room. Again a beautiful high gloss lustre to this side also. I am listening to this album right now its very very difficult for me to find fault in the playback. Side two has two hairlines about 3 inches long but they are so light I am only mentioning them to be honest. They do not affect playback at all. Again side two plays through entirely without jumps skips or sticking this record plays incredibly well so I am happy to grade the record as a very strong Excellent.
The only issue with this record that needs to be mentioned is the track that is a prologue, just talking all the way, there are a few pops and clicks on this track but who cares nobody plays that track because its impossible to enjoy anyway.
There it is, this fantastic Fontana prog monster rare record in Excellent condition plays SUPERBLY  throughout.
