Description
An original 1980 Box set from Tangerine Dream covering the years 1970-80 on the UK Virgin label. Etchings - All records state 'Nimbus England'. Nimbus - who are famed for their mastering and experience in the classical field, have processed and pressed these records for maximum fidelity - and it shows...The four records come housed in a heavy card box with 28 page booklet. Also included are all four original inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex/Ex/Ex) In super condition and have clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out any marks on any of the sides. A thorough testing from beginning to end [Yes - All eight sides!] reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Due to the nature of the ambient/electronica sound you really need a top copy to do this justice - anything with background crackle is going to severely impinge on the experience. I am pleased to report that this is a very very fine playing copy. Not perfect, but sufficiently well preserved to impress on the audio front. Interference is minimal. There's the odd crackle and a touch of low-level static in a couple of isolated moments, but little else. The audio quality is noticeably pure delivering an unnerving starkness - which, I guess, is the whole point of it!
Box/cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. The first usual issue with boxes is that the corners tend to fail..not here. This copy is perfectly rigid due to the very stiff card it has been manufactured from. All surfaces are nice and clean. Very little deterioration at all. Great example.
Booklet (Ex) No faults at all. Very nice condition.
Inners (Ex) very little ageing at all. No splits.
