Description

This is the original 1970 UK pressing with the red Polydor labels, RSO credits and the earliest A//1 B//1 matrices and 1-1-9 1-1-11 stampers of the very first presses.

'The Taste' were formed in Ireland in 1966 by Rory Gallagher and in 1968 they moved permanently to London where they signed with Polydor in November 1968. They opened for Cream at their farewell concerts in 1969, alongside Yes. They released their second album in early 1970 and were one of the star acts at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival and this performance was released as a live album after the band broke up in December 1971.

The Macneill Press textured matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light edge/corner wear and some very light storage wear on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact & in EX condition.

  The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two very faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief & low background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, a really great, loud & lively listen.  

The matrix nos. are; 583083, A//1-420 stamper 1-1-9, B//1-420 stamper 1-1-11. This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album!
