Description
This is a Telarc Digital vinyl pressing of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture, Capriccio Italien & Cossack Dance from Mazeppa". Telarc produced some of the more popular audiophile recordings of Classical music and this one featured recordings of actual cannons which will be a challenge to even the best turntables to reproduce correctly.
I purchased this record new and it is part of my personal collection. The records has rarely been played and is in great condition, with the only play being on "high-end" turntables (Linn or Rega). The surface of the record is clean, but the cover does show slight wear from use & storage over time. This record has been stored at my home in a climate controlled, smoke-free environment since I purchased it new.
This is one of a series of vinyl recordings I'll be posting over the next couple of days. Titles will include a number of "Audiophile" pressings of classical music, a great collection of John Coltrane records being sold together as a set, a Miles Davis Prestige box set, an Atlantic Records R&B box set, a Simon & Garfunkel box set & a Nick Drake box set.
