Tchaikovsky Romeo & Juliet Maazel UK Decca SXL 6206 WBG
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Lorin Maazel perform Tchaikovsky’s “Hamlet”, and “Romeo and Juliet”. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 6206 stampers 1G/1G), the labels are black and silver with “Orignal Recording by…” at 10 o’clock, and a full frequency stereo sound “fatband” and ffss logo with a groove. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with occasional surface noise. The cover has a couple of creases.
