Description

A very rare pressing of Tchaikovsky's Symphony #6 "Pathetique" as performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of Jean Martinon on Decca records (SXL 2004).  This is one of the holy grails in the Decca SXL catalog and for very good reason, stellar sonics, and a brilliant performance.  The jacket is in EX- condition with intact seams, but laminate cover is showing slight delimitation at the top 1 inch with small flecks at the bottom, soft corners and opening wear, and rear flaps are coming unglued with one slightly crumpled but not torn which is all typical with these craft-paper thin covers (I will let the next owner choose to reglue the flaps).  The FFSS wide-banner LP is in EX++ condition showing near perfect gloss and only 2 stylus drags on side 1.  This is a rarity to say the least and will be a show piece in your vintage audiophile collection.
