Description

An original stereo pressing from not long after release in the mid-60's on wideband Decca. Matrix 1W/1W. Stampers 1-A/1-BC. Please note the labels still display the Decca deep grove dating straight forwardly to the mid-60's. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Clout & Baker cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we couldn't make out more than a couple of very light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It barely needs mentioning that these early Decca copies are sought after because they are a pretty clear route through to the best audio recorded. Fantastic audio of a very high standard. We are conservatively grading playback as, at least, EXCELLENT. Interference is practically non-existent. I didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isoalted moments. It really is a very clean player and an impressive rendition by any standard.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Lovely clean front without laminate lift and barely a crease. The rear, often the problem area, seems to have almost totally avoided the usual ageing process. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) Faultless. No splits or ageing.
