Description
For sale is a vinyl record titled Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker Excerpts, featuring Arthur Fiedler conducting The Boston Pops Orchestra, originally released in 1956 by RCA Victor Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "I", followed by the matrix numbers 1-S/7-S, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this record that was pressed at RCA's pressing plant located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used and put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve that may have come with the release. Their is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG because of a 6 inch seam split along the spine, some very faint ring wear and corner blunts. The spine has a little color loss at the corners from these blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with shiny, prisine looking surfaces. This would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection. I have more Classical records, as well as albums of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
