Description
This was the band that started Dischord Records This was the band that started Dischord Records Only played once! This is the band that started Dischord Records. Teen Idles Dischord #1 first press 1981. Nathan Strejcek, Geordie Grindle, Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson. This is the first pressing with the thicker cardboard jacket with the glossy finish. The record looks and plays perfectly. Includes the original insert with photos and lyrics. Side 1: Teen Idles, Sneakers, Get up and Go, Deadhead. Side 2: Fleeting Fury, Fiorrucci Nightmare, Getting in my Way, Too Young to Rock.
I worked at the infamous Yesterday and Today Records in Rockville MD in the early eighties. Y&T was the epicenter of the birth of DC HarDCore, as owner Skip Groff produced the earliest releases. I bought every release as soon as they came out and stored them in plastic sleeves, so they're in great shape! I'll be selling more Dischord original releases soon.
