Description

Notes on This Pressing:

  • 1978 Elektra ?6E-133
  • Stereo
  • Tom Verlaine's lyrics are printed on a red paper inner sleeve. 
  • Matrix / Runout (A Side Label): 6E-133-A-SP MCR
  • Matrix / Runout (B Side Label): 6E-133-B3SP MCR

Vinyl is VG, some light scuffing resulting in light surface noise. Original printed inner sleeve is included; both sides look great, though all sides have come detached, only held together at one corner. Jacket is also VG with very minimal ringwear though there are some areas of staining as well as creasing at the edges. Some wear on seams ad corners; there is one area beginning to split near the center of the spine.
Please note,  I grade conservatively and by the Goldmine standard, here is what you can expect...
For the VG vinyl - Generally worth 25% of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.

For the VG Jacket - Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. [This] will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price.  
***WITH ALL THIS SAID if you have a Crosley or other budget turntable that comes in a suitcase, there is a chance with this, and every record really, that the tone arm, being the weak little thing it is, might bounce off, this is not a sign of a deficient record, this is an issue with the turntable. If you encounter this problem a penny taped to the top of the head of your tone arm generally fixes that right up.***
