PLEASE NOTE DETAILS BELOW POINTING TOWARDS THIS BEING THE VERY 1ST PRESSING.....
STARTING WITH THE COVER YOU WILL NOTE THE ABSENCE OF A STEREO MONO PEEPHOLE – THE VERY FIRST UK ISSUE DID NOT HAVE ONE . IT IS ALSO WORTH MENTIONING THAT THIS IS THE CORRECT MONO DEDICATED COVER.
THE BROWN MONO RECORD LABEL IS THE VERY EARLIEST DESIGN WITH THE LARGER ‘DERAM’ LETTERING – LATER PRESSINGS IN THE EXTENDED TIMELINE HAVE A NOTICEABLY SMALL ‘DERAM’ LABEL.
THE VINYL IS OF A HEAVY WEIGHT CONSISTENT WITH THE EARLIEST DERAM RECORDS FROM THIS PERIOD AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL THE MATRIX SET, MOTHERS AND STAMPERS ARE THE VERY FIRST USED TO MAKE THIS RECORD. IF YOU LOOKAT THE INFORMATION ABOVE YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE IS A ‘1B’ MATRIX FOR BOTH SIDES, A ‘1’ MOTHER FOR BOTH SIDES AND A ‘B’ STAMPER CODE ON BOTH SIDES – THE PRESENCE OF THE ‘B’ STAMPER IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE ‘1’s’ EVERYWHERE ELSE BECAUSE DERAM’S STAMPER CODES WERE BASED ON THE WORD ‘BUCKINHAM’ AND THE ‘B’ IS THEREFORE THE FIRST STAMPER PRODUCED AND EVER USED FROM THIS FIRST MATRIX SET AND MOTHERS – SO THIS WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE BEEN WITHIN THE FIRST FEW HUNDRED MADE AND IS JUST AS LIKELY AS NOT TO HAVE BEEN THE FIRST. THE PRESENCE OF THE 'JT' UK PURCHASE TAX CODE ON THE LABEL AND IMPRINTED INTO THE VINYL RUN OFF AREA IS ALSO DATE CONSISTENT. WHICHEVER WAY YOU CHOOSE TO CONSIDER THIS RECORD IT IS UNDOUBTEDLY ONEOF THE VERY EARLIEST FIRST PRESSINGS , AND THE AUDIO PERFORMANCE REFLECTS THIS FACT .
