Tesla: The Great Radio Controversy LP, RARE 1st CANADA Pressing, Conflicting #s

  >>> Any of the LP's I list here on EBAY are from my own private collection and have been well cared for. The majority of them have only been played a few times. Since LP's could not be played in automobiles, as soon as I acquired a new LP I would immediately record it on cassette tape. The LP was then safely stored to preserve it's condition & quality. There are a small number of my LP's that suffered some minor damages to the jackets while moving several times, but any damage will be shown & described in the listing.  *I also clean the LP's in a highly modified Spin Clean Wet Wash System, Audio Test them on a Technics SL-J33 Programmable Automatic Linear Tracking Turntable with a Shure M-111 Cartridge & Elliptical Stylus, then place them in a New Clear Anti-Static Sleeve. Any original inner sleeves are always included with the LP's.  I try to do my best to grade the LP & outer Jacket / Cover according to Goldmine Standards but there's always a possibility I may miss something.  If you notice something I clearly missed, please contact me first before opening a case with EBAY, Thanks !

  Here is an oddly mismatched LP Release of TESLA - "The Great Radio Controversy", from 1989, produced & released by Geffen Records.  It is Definitely MADE IN CANADA, but according to 'Discogs', the mixed Identifier numbers on the jacket spine and the LP matrix / run-out don't match any one specific edition, but somehow mixes the numbers from the Original 1st Pressing Canada Retail edition and the Original 1st Pressing USA / Canada BMG Club Edition.  Both LP versions were pressed at the same time by CINRAM Ltd. at their Ontario, Canada pressing plant.  The Canada retail version should have the catalog # XGHS 24224 on the jacket spine and the same # variation on the LP matrix / run-out (XGHS-24224-A or B).  The BMG Club version should have the # GHS 24224 (without the X) on the Jacket spine, but will have the BMG catalog # R-100839A or B-1 on the matrix / run-out. This could have happened accidentally during pressing and packaging or was done intentionally as a way to fill the need for more LP's to be distributed for either retail or club releases using whatever version LP was available at the time? ? ?   We will probably never know.   Anyway ......          Either way you look at it, this is an Original 1989 CANADA 1st pressing LP. 
                     The entire 'package is excellent and is in  "Near Mint"  condition.   GRADING of Individual Items:  The Outer Cover / Jacket is almost flawless with no visible ringwear, corner or edge damage and is still covered in the original cello shrink wrap. Grade = NM (or M-).   The original Printed / Photo Inner Sleeve is also nearly flawless, no tears, rips, seam splits, etc, is perfectly flat & smooth with only a few very minor indentations from handling. Grade = NM (or M-).   The LP is like new, still showing all it's original shine and luster and the labels are excellent except for a few very tiny split marks around the hole from when it was pressed. Grade = NM (or M-).   The AUDIO TEST revealed very crisp clean sound throughout both sides with only an occasional click or tick, noticeable only in the dead space between tracks and where the needle drops at the beginning.   Here is the Matrix / Run-Out information:  Side 1)  (Etched) R-100839A-1 (followed by CINRAM's logo, circled initials) CR.  Side 2)  (Etched) R-100839B-1 (followed by CINRAM's logo, circled initials) CR.    Label Identifiers: Both Sides, right side above the '1' & '2',  GHS 24224, and above that, R 100839 (BMG Cat. #)    Please see the photo's for more details on Label #'s &Titles  And  Label & LP Quality.   Ask any questions and I will reply promptly.   Orders are shipped next business day (and Saturdays if the Confirmed Order and PayPal Payment are received before 5pm Eastern Time Friday) and as always, I accept return requests for a full 30 days.
