Description
This is a white label, 180gm test pressing, black vinyl copy of "Songs From A Room", the second album by Leonard Cohen, first released in 1968 and re-issued in 1999 on the Simply Vinyl record label (SVLP 008). It comes housed in a custom sleeve with the album title and artist written on the inner sleeve in black marker pen.
It is my understanding that there are only 10 test pressings ever made of each record and that they are only given to the label and mastering facility for quality control purposes. Some are then sent to shops as promotional copies. I won this record in February 1999 in a competition in the long defunct record collector magazine, Record Mart and Buyer.
It has never been played and never been taken out of its sleeve.
