Description
This promotional record is stamped "audition copy" inside the gatefold, indicating it's a first-pressing selected for sound quality and sent to radio for airplay. There is no indication it ever got on a station turntable and instead went into a disk jockey's private collection. It has been cleaned on an ultra-sonic machine and then play-tested in its entirety. No scratches, no pops, no surface noise. The jacket is near perfect also--no splits, no writing, no creases. The All-Music Guide gives this album four stars, and it was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Instrumental Jazz Performance - Large Group."
