Description

Blue Note 4020 with 47 West 63rd, NYC address on both labels; 43 West 61st St. address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has “Ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. 8 tracks with Gene Harris, piano; Andrew Simpkins, bass; Bill Dowdy, drums. Cover: VG+ or better. Some tears along the insert edge (see picture). Minor light stain on the bottom corner of the back cover. Minor aging on the back cover. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no wear. 3 or 4 extremely light surface rub marks. A hint of groove noise at the beginning few revolutions on each side. There are some barely audible groove noises in a few passages in several spots on the record. These are barely audible and last for only short intervals and have only a “static-like” sound. I have accounted for them by the VG+ part of the grading. Brilliant sound engineering by Rudy Van Gelder. Audibly checked.
