Description
Up for auction is the 6ths' 1995 album, "Wasps' Nests" as a 7" box set (or 6 6/6" single box set as the packaging says). The box features 4 7" singles, plus a lyric booklet for the songs on the album. Each song was sung by a different vocalist picked by songwriter, Stephin Merritt.
The included vocalists are Stephin Merritt, Georgia Hubley (Yo La Tengo), Ayako Akashiba, Mac McCaughan (Superchunk), Lou Barlow (Sebadoh), Stuart Moxham, Dean Wareham (Galaxie 500/Luna), Jeffrey Underhill (Honeybunch), Mitch Easter (Let's Active), Mark Robinson (Unrest) , Chris Knox, Anna Domino, Barbara Manning, Mary Timony (Helium), Robert Scott (The Bats), and Amelia Fletcher (Talulah Gosh/Heavenly etc.). Features a bonus 16th song that was not on the original cd version: "Yet Another Girl" by Stuart Moxham (Young Marble Giants).
The records are in very good condition as they have only been played a couple times. The cardboard box container is also in very good condition and has been in plastic all of these years.
This is a very rare collector's item.
