ARTIST: The ANIMALS
TITLE: "THE ANIMALS"
TRACKS: "I'M IN LOVE AGAIN" + "BURY MY BODY" // "I'M MAD AGAIN" + "SHE SAID YEAH"
FORMAT: …vinyl 7" EP… LABEL: Columbia CATALOGUE #: SEGO-8439 DATE OF RELEASE: 1965 PRESSED IN: AUSTRALIA ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING? : Yes, it is!...This is part of a HUGE collection of an ex-Aussie radio station big-wig (nice guy) who was given TWO promotional copies of every release (LP, 7”, 12”), by every Australian major label between 1956 and 1991 (the mind boggles - but it's true), and he stashed one away, never to be played, protected individually in non-vinyl-affecting plastic covers.
This is indeed, an original 1965 FIRST pressing (with original, round, red & white promo sticker on the Side One label) of their 3rd Aussie EP…and I doubt there could be any original copies to have survived the past 52+ years, in better condition. The vinyl especially, is simply unbeatable - unplayed, and the labels are pristine. The cover has gathered the TINY-est bit of ringwear (and I do mean very light - see pix). Even its original, soft-plastic inner sleeve looks untouched.
Basically, it's the kind of copy you dream of finding.
