Greetings!
I don't recall ever seeing a copy of this for sale before so here goes.
I came to own this 7 inch record after buying some things from someone in Louisiana who claimed to know an early collaborator of a group that became The Residents. His name was Roland Sheehan. Roland Sheehan played in this band called The Alliance and they made this record with a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Somewhere they can't find me" with "(I'm not your) STEPPIN STONE".
Adding to the mystery of this record apparently Hardy Fox designed the picture sleeve.
If all this is true, Roland Sheehan recorded on "Rusty Coathangers for the Doctor" and "Ballad of Stuffed Trigger".
Any of those faces on the picture sleeve look familiar?
This is "a custom recording by American Recording Studios in P.O. Drawer L Ruston, Louisiana. Side A - ZAFX-6702131, Side B - ZAFX-6702132".
The condition of the record is very good, no scratches, it is shiny and glossy. The labels appear excellent. The sound quality of the recording is alittle washy, this may be something to do with the quality of the pressing. The picture sleeve is very good, it shows signs of age (circa 53 years old).
Both the tracks on this record have appeared on 60s Garage Punk Compilations.
