The Allman Brothers - At Fillmore East LP (UK RARE, PLUM labels. EX! amazing!) 

This is a double LP by The Allman Brothers called At Fillmore East, released in the UK by Atlantic Records in 1971.  This is one of the rarest Atlantic plum labels you can get as it was shortly reissued under the Capricorn label.  It has the required corrected matrices and US Capricorn sleeve variation.   Please take a look at the photos.  I believe they are the best way to judge condition.   I have many more photos of this incredible record and I am happy to email them upon request. 

Many of my customers will know I tend to undergrade my vinyl and what would normally be graded Mint or NM by others would only be rated EX or EX+ by me.  I never use MINT or NM unless the item is sealed.  I use Record Collector guidelines and my own very high standards.   (see below for a more detailed idea of my grading) 

VINYL:    EX         Both records are exceptionally nice and shiny with, at the most, a 6 or 7 faint paper marks on each side.   There is some extremely faint "ghost" marks from the poly-lined inners however this will not affect the play at all.   Visually, there are no marks which could reasonably cause any significant noise.  As with all used records, however, a good professional clean will usually take care of any static/dust crackles.

LABELS:  EX         Three of the labels are in stunning condition, very fresh looking with bright, vibrant plum and orange colours.   Record 1, Side 2 label has two very faint spots approx. 1mm in diameter which show up a very faint white-ish mark and can really only be seen when holding the record at an angle.  Otherwise,  the only visible marks on these amazingly clean labels are a few faint spindle marks each.  

SLEEVE:  EX          The sleeve is the American version with Capricorn credits.   This one actually still has the UK Set Number sticker (from the Atlantic label under the Catalogue number) placed on the front to cover the Capricorn number!!  How many of these will still have this sticker!?   There is some slight corner/edge wear which can get heavier in places especially along the bottom edge.  There are a couple small, faint crease marks around the edges and some very slight surface wear which is not immediately noticeable as shown in the photo.  It's hard to tell on first glance that there is any surface wear!   The sleeve still retains it's original factory gleam!    The matte paper inside is also in exceptional condition.  There is some very slight rubbing wear on the bottom edge with it being a bit more obvious near the bottom left corner.   On the back, there is a very faint brownish discolouration on the top over the tracklisting, although it is also not immediately noticeable.   There is no heavy ring or surface wear, no stains, no sticker marks or writing on inside or outside!   Such a rare item to find in such great condition!

EX+ = spotless or with maximum 3 or 4 faint paper marks or one light hairline mark.  Sleeve/inserts should have no more than a hint of corner wear.  No surface wear, stains, visible discolouration or sticker marks will be allowed

EX    = more than 3 or 4 faint paper marks but less than 2 dozen faint paper marks however, not enough to see them under normal room light or to be on top of each other.   Possibly two or three light hairlines.  If there are one or two faint paper marks or hairlines and only one very light surface scratch or scuff mark, I will grade EX but explain the mark.   Sleeve and inserts have slight corner/edge wear, possibly very slight surface wear, slight ring wear in places, possibly a small bash or tiny bend.  There could be small crease marks in the edges and/or tiny sticker residue marks as well. 

VG+   = several faint paper marks, more than a few light hairlines or 1-2 light surface scratches (seen but not felt) or so many paper marks/hairlines that they are on top of each other.  Anything which may cause slight background noise or occasional crackles.  Sleeve and insert will have some heavier wear, corner bashes or creases, small edge splits only, noticeable but light surface wear, surface creases and/or sticker removal damage.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery which is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.     With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
