The Allman Brothers Band - The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East - Double Vinyl LP - Gatefold - Reissue - Sealed
Capricorn Records - CPN-2-0131 - Believed to be a 1974 pressing - Retail The shrink is still sealed, but falling apart. White tag in upper right corner is the backer for a peel off computer tag. Capricorn logo is the stylized version. I researched this pretty thoroughly to figure out the press date. I am pretty sure it was acquired between 8/75 and 12/77. At any rate, you will be the first to play it.
This is from my personal collection, acquired while working for the Record Bar chain in the 70's & 80's. I have tried to describe each LP as accurately as possible and encourage you to examine each of the pictures carefully. Questions are welcomed. Please keep in mind these are first and foremost 35+ year old collector's items, and that vinyl LPs of that time were commodities, produced quickly, bulk shipped and racked. Most that I offer for sale were either promos, second copies or just acquired to collect. Many of the LPs without shrinkwrap were either "cleans" received from label reps as promotional quid pro quos or imports that were not originally shrinked. Promos are (mostly) marked with stamps, sawcuts or labels and will be noted as such and are mostly first pressings. These have been stored in a temperature controlled room in repurposed record store LP storage browsers. As a rule, if I was going to actually listen to a particular LP, I copied it to a cassette and then shelved it.
