This is a near mint pressing of the Nautilus Super Disc audiophile pressing of The Allman Brothers Band, Live at The Fillmore East, issued in 1982 These LPS are pressed at half speed. This is an extremely rare audiophile pressing that has a book value of $100
The LPS are.in beautiful near mint condition with no visible marks. The LPS play beautifully quiet, and to my ear is the best issue of this iconic live recording, considered by many, myself included as the best rock live recording ever released. Note that the LPS were tested several weeks prior to listing and cleaned by hand and not machine. They should be cleaned again before play. The cover is in excellent condition. All six corners on gatefold cover show very slight wear. The top and bottom seams and the spine are strong with very slight incidental spot rub wear along top seam, The cover has no splits. The product information is clearly readable along the spine. The front and back covers are exceptionally clean.
As to grading I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG++, I prefer use of grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.
The LPS are being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LPS will only be accepted if the same LPS sold and shipped are returned in the same condition .Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions. The LPS will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
