Description

An original late 1st issue of EAP on UK Capricorn. Matrix A1/B1-A1/B1 [1st cut]. Not the very earliest copy you can get your hands on - those copies omit 'Made In The UK'. But still a really nice early copy - I'd estimate it is from Summer 1972. First thing to mention - the audio is absolutely top draw [which is ideal for this title!] BUT two of the discs seem to exhibit what appears to be a low-level issue from when they were pressed. Both discs exhibit a cloudy/wavy surface patterns on just one side. One appears just cloudy. The other like low-level waves/streaks. This did put me off a little at 1st. Then, I played the discs and.... they are absolutely superb copies. Weird! Anyway, I let my ears do the judging. Great copies for sure - but do please be aware of said visual anomalies. The vinyl comes housed in an original uncredited cover with Capricorn showing in the interior [distributed by Polydor]. We also have both original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeves. And the original black and white credit sheet. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and have seen light use. Very little actual marking at all. Please be aware that both discs exhibit some cloudy/wavy low level patterns on the surfaces [as alluded to above]. I am pleased to report that I am completely unable to pick out anything in the audio related to these visual anomalies. They pretty much play back like new discs. I will rate playback at EXCELLENT [with one minor deviation] although for the most part actual audio is above this level. A truly superb copy - consistently. There's very little sign of background at all. It's predominantly clean all the way through with just one slight deviation. Melissa - exhibits just a few isolated crackles. It still plays well just not as darn clean as the rest of the LP. If you can live with said visual anomalies - the actual audio delivered will knock-you-out. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) The original copies of this title tend to often exhibit a bit of handling wear and/or dirt. But this example is way above what typically surfaces. Lovely clean surfaces without sign of ageing or surface wear. Just a couple of incredibly slight handling marks on the rear. It really extremely good looking with lovely preservation of colours. The interior is absolutely immaculate and smooth to the touch. There's hardly any edge wear at all - which is very unusual. The openings are perfectly sharp. The spine is literally 100% intact. A truly beautiful example which still retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing on one inner. No splits.
Insert (Ex) Almost perfect with hardly a whiff of ageing.
