Description
We are thrilled and honoured to be offering for sale a number of items from the late Stan Tracey's own personal collection on behalf of his son Clark Tracey. This includes many extremely rare albums, some purchased by Stan during his time in New York, plus test pressings and other gems collected over his lifetime as a musician and composer.
The Amazing Bud Powell Vol. 2 Blue Note 1504 - a 1958 1st repress copy on the blue & white 47 West 63rd address deppegroove label. RVG is etched into the deadwax ( see photos).
Degritter cleaned & in very good glossy condition for the age with only a few light hairlines and tiny scuffs visible. Clean labels and spindle holes - we have graded VG+.
The vinyl plays through beautifully with typically vibrant and clear mono sound quality & no jumping or sticking.
The outer sleeve is still sturdy but with seam splits to top and bottom approx halfway along. There are two small areas of surface removal to the front top and spine wear. The back is still clean with some underlining of tracks in pen.
The original printed Blue Note inner sleeve is present, however, we have decanted the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine - you will receive both.
The record will be sent separated out in an archival outer sleeve to prevent transit splits.
A rare opportunity for a collector to own a special copy once bought and owned by Stan Tracey.
