Description
For auction is a vintage Blue Note 10" vinyl. This is BLP 5041--The Amazing Bud Powell Vol. 2---released in 1954. This is from an estate and I am not a collector nor trained grader. From sight I would grade the vinyl as VG and the cover as G+.
The cover is scuffed on the front cover from storage over time and the bottom edge is split from the outside about 3/4 of the way to the corner. The top back of the cover has some separation of the paper at the top edge. The corners are frayed and rounded and the edges show fraying along almost all of the perimeter.
The record is marked on Side 1 with an ear and BN-LP-5041-A in the dead wax. There is also a 9 M marking. I don't see any RVG markings although Rudy Van Gelder was the sound engineer on the recording. Side 2 is similarly marked with a B at the end and it also has a 9 M mark. The label on Side 1 has some loss of surface color to the edge along the word BLUE.
