The Animals - Animal Tracks UK Mono First Press LP Signed Chas Chandler Hilton Valentine
From the estate of pop journalist Mike Adams, an extraordinarily rare original UK first mono pressing of The Animal's classic R&B album 'Animal Tracks) released by Columbia and signed to reverse by Chas Chandler and Hilton Valentine.
Journalist Paul Scudamore (under the nom de plume Mike Adams) was a writer and reviewer for the Record Mirror during the 1960s; this would likely have been signed backstage at an Animals concert c.1965 - one which Adams would have reviewed for the magazine.
Much of Scudamore's collection came up for sale after his death; this album came from a recent sale of items from Scudamore's estate, including many autographs from the Kinks, Rolling Stones, Small Faces, Beatles and others. Please see my other upcoming listings for more first pressings.
From a private collection - one owner from new and new to the market.
Sleeve is G+; front is clean and glossy as pictured; a little edge rubbing and rubbing to opening edge; spine white and just sl. squished; reverse is a little grubby; small number to top right corner, but signed(!) in ink by Chas Chandler and Hilton Valentine to top left.
Original inner sleeve likewise Good; a little creasing from storage; sl. discolouration.
Disc is VG-; clean and glossy with light signs of wear; K T labels nice with light spindle marks; plays beautifully cleanly.

Ultrasonically cleaned and finished with a Keith Monks Gemini so in the best possible condition and ready to play. Will be sent in new anti-static poly-lined sleeves (with the original as well).
