As you can see from my 100% feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability. Above all things I am a record collector and music lover. I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late. That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!



I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to ebay they go!

Original 1965 first pressing vinyl in glorious big beat MONO with the tough bold punch in the playback production ... one of the hardest to find -- also of their best Lp's when talking the R&B laced garage sound of the British Invasion....

THE ANIMALS third US LP, not to be confused with the earlier British LP of the same name, is a kind of US rarities issue consisting of the great single chart hits of '65, non US Lp tracks from the first two 1964 British LP's The Animals and UK -Animal Tracks , and scarce UK B-side 45's, making a very solid R&B blues shouter that flows together quite nicely -- improving on the British (different) release of the same name....

"We Gotta Get Out of This Place" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" appear here in the USA of 1965 and are great. The band rave-ups along with Eric's storytelling in "The Story of Bo Diddley" are endearing as hell, and make it one of the most entertaining Animals tracks. The rest of Animal Tracks is very good, and all throughout the Animals have a good, hard blues-y sound that is impossible to dislike.

Here we have the rare 1st issue US Mono press on the smooth MGM label, which is so very rare especially in this lovely condition!

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st print heavy card gatefold sleeve is in really nice condition!  There are no rips, writing or major damage. The spine is still perfectly readable with no wear and no splitting! There is some very mild storage wear to the corners and very mild discolouring to the rear and that’s about it.  The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release!! It really is a high quality sleeve when compared to the thin UK sleeves!

Inner Condition.

The 1st press Die cut inner is in great condition with no rips, tears, seam splits! Just mild folding to mention! Superb

Label Condition.

The 1st press smooth US labels are in fantastic condition.  There is no writing or stains to mention. A label removal has caused a graze on side 2. Just some mild spindles under a strong light!

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The records look great! They still retain their wonderful shine and lustre after all these years. There are no deep scratches, warping or dulling at all.  There are some hairlines that can’t be felt and have no playback issue at all! It’s clear that this record has been cared for in the past 45 years!

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounds superb on all frequencies!  It’s a nice punchy and clear audio throughout! The band is clearly separable by the ear with a superb dynamic sound from start to finish! A sharp sound that just jumps off the record! I heard only static on the run-ins and the occasional light click throughout on full volume!  A nice little R&B mover!

So there we have it.  A superb Rare US 1st press of the Animals lesser known Masterpiece!
