A rare effort by the excellent Chicago vocal group – with some tasteful strings in the mix this time out – bring a sophisticated soul approach to their indelible vocals! The 1967 album features a tight rendition of the band's signature sweet/sour style – perhaps with a bit more emphasis on the sweet. It has great vocals by Marvin Smith on the title hit "I'm Gonna Miss You", plus other great LP tracks like "On & On", "Glad I Met You", "Sweeter Than Sugar", "Why, Why, Why", "Hope We Have", and "Love Song". Arrangements by Sonny Sanders + Direction by Gerald Sims + Production by Carl Davis = Prime Chicago Soul!
