Estate sale find!!!

SCARCE LIMITED EDITION SET!!!

"The Astaire Story", Mercury MG C-1001-1004, featuring Fred Astaire with some of the Jazz at the Philharmonic All Stars (Oscar Peterson, Charlie Shavers, FlipPhillips, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, Alvin Stoller), a 4 LP set in e deluxe cloth hard cover album with plastic ring binding for the photo pages & envelope style record pockets, original mono issue, custom blue Astaire label, deep groove, all the glossy Gjon Mili & Paul Nodler photos are intact, but unfortunately the David Stone Martin prints are missing. Martin did design the cover though.

3 of the records are blue vinyl, the 4th is standard black vinyl. That's the way I found this set.

This is set features a factory anomoly in that it includes 2 limited edition pages, both autographed/signed by Fred Astaire: No. 802 of 1384 issued & No. 803 of 1384 issued.

7 of the 8 sides are M-/VG+++: Very Clean with just a very few inaudible small visual marks. 1 side is VG+: a few visual marks & 1 short audible scuff. Plays great! No skips. Light spindle wear.

Album & pages are VG+++: front inside endpaper is loose; otherwise clean & sturdy.
